Descripción
The aquarium Amaranthaceae, mainly the genus Alternanthera, are the red plants par excellence in aquascaping. Unlike other coloured plants, their red is not a reaction to light but their natural pigmentation, which makes it more stable. In exchange they are demanding: they need intense light, nutritious substrate and, to hold their colour and compact form, injected CO2.
