Descripción

The aquarium Lythraceae include the genera Rotala and Ammania, fine-stemmed, small-leaved plants widely used in aquascaping to form dense masses at the back. Their distinctive trait is that they respond to light intensity by changing colour: under strong light the tips turn red, orange or pink, and under weak light they stay green and stretch towards the surface.
