Description
The Taia snail is a viviparid, of the family Viviparidae, which also includes the paddy snails. It is a very little-known species in the hobby: all that is firmly established is its name and its presence in Burma and India; its size, colouring and habits are not on record.
What is known is what is typical of its family: viviparids bear fully formed young, a few at a time, and do not multiply uncontrollably.
With so little data, the water values are the prudent ones for a tropical freshwater snail, and it is best watched before being put with delicate species.
Habitat
It is known from Burma (Myanmar) and India, and its environment is not on record. The viviparids of its family live in fresh water, usually with slow or no current.
In the aquarium a stable tropical freshwater setup, with plants and a soft bottom, is enough until more is known about the species.

The care values (pH, temperature and hardness) have no citable source: none of the accepted sources publishes invertebrate profiles. Seriously Fish has none and PlanetCatfish does not respond. A source for invertebrates is still to be agreed.
