Descripción

The CPO, short for Cambarellus patzcuarensis Orange, is a dwarf crayfish of about 4 cm in vivid orange. It is fully aquatic and, unlike large crayfish, it does not wreck plants or pose a serious threat to adult fish, although it can catch small shrimp and fry. It needs plenty of hiding places: during the moult it is soft and defenceless, and individual shelters stop tank mates from killing it.
