Descripción
The green babaulti is the easy Caridina, the exception to the genus's demanding reputation: it tolerates medium-hardness tap water and needs no RO. Its colour ranges from olive green to yellowish and shifts with the animal's condition and diet, which puzzles anyone expecting a fixed tone. It breeds in the aquarium with no larval stage, just like Neocaridina, and because it belongs to a different genus it does not interbreed with them: it is the only way to keep two differently coloured shrimp without the offspring reverting to brown.

Hábitat
It comes from rivers of the Indian subcontinent, temperate and of medium hardness with abundant vegetation. In the aquarium a normal planted setup with some leaf litter is enough; unlike the rest of the genus it needs no active substrate or strict conductivity control.
